東京芸術大学鋳金科卒業
岡山県瀬戸内市牛窓町在住

Born in Tokyo,Japan in 1974. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in Japan. Resident of Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan.

大学卒業後アクセサリー原型師をしながら、自身のアクセサリーブランド、絵画、オブジェを創作し販売。フレームドラムに出会い奏者としてアラブ音楽に12年関わる中で、フレームドラムを創作し始め現在に至る。

After graduating from university, I worked as an accessory model maker while creating and selling my own accessory brand, paintings, and objects. I encountered the frame drum and spent 12 years involved in Arabic music as a performer, during which time I began creating frame drums, which I continue to do to this day.

フレームドラム制作の始まり

自身の使用していた市販のレクがとても重く、また短期間で壊れてしまったのを機にフレームドラム制作が始まり今に至る。フレームドラムの奏法は独学 。イスラエル のゾハールフレスコを師事。実際にイスラエル へ行きワークショップも受けている。
制作技術はアクセサリー原型師の技術やその経験を活かし約7年の試行錯誤を経て独自の作業工程を生み出す。

The Beginning of Frame Drum Production

The start of frame drum production began when the commercially available requiem he was using was very heavy and broke after a short period of time. He learned frame drumming techniques through self-study. He studied Zohar fresco in Israel and even traveled to Israel to attend workshops.

His production techniques utilize the skills and experience of an accessory prototype maker, and after approximately seven years of trial and error, he has developed his own unique production process.

ブランドの目指すもの

ブランドの目指す物は、美しい音色、素材を生かしたデザイン、丈夫な作り、修理しながら永く使える仕様、プロ奏者はもちろん初心者や手の小さい方でも演奏しやすい設計、そして、自身の日々の暮らしの中から生まれる無理の無い生産数である事、良い音色を求め進化し続けていける事。

The brand aims for beautiful tone, designs that make the most of the materials, durable construction, specifications that allow for long-term use with repairs, designs that are easy to play for everyone from professional musicians to beginners and those with small hands, and a production volume that is manageable from the brand's perspective own daily life. It also aims for continuous evolution in pursuit of better tone.

日本においてのフレームドラム

フレームドラムは日本ではまだマイナーな楽器だが、近年では世界的に有名なプロタンバリン奏者田島隆や、ガチタンバリン奏者大石竜輔などの影響で、一般的にも認知され演奏する人も徐々に増え始めている。

Frame Drums in Japan

While frame drums are still a relatively minor instrument in Japan, in recent years, thanks to the influence of world-renowned professional tambourine player Takashi Tajima and hardcore tambourine player Ryusuke Oishi, they are gaining wider recognition and the number of players is gradually increasing.

以前からフレームドラムが盛んなヨーロッパを中心に、日本以外の国でも「Shigerは、今まで無かった軽さや独特の音色を持つ新しいタイプのフレームドラム」として高い評価を得ている。

Shiger's music, born from the sounds created by a single artist living in a small seaside town in Japan, travels from person to person, through music, across Japan, and even to countries and regions overseas, as if on a journey. With this in mind, Shiger will continue to create, evolving and striving for the best possible sounds.
